A memorial event in honor of the renowned Malayalam writer Vaikom Muhammad Basheer was held on 5th July 2025 at 1:30 PM in the Third Year B.A. Malayalam classroom. The program was presided over by Mrs. M. Sreelatha, Head of the Department of Malayalam.
On the occasion, faculty members from the Department of Malayalam addressed the gathering, highlighting Basheer’s immense contributions to Malayalam literature. Students also shared their reflections and experiences, making the session meaningful and interactive.
The event served as a tribute to the literary genius popularly known as the Beypore Sultan, inspiring students to explore and appreciate his timeless works.

The college observed Reading Week 2025 with great enthusiasm, beginning on 23rd June 2025 and concluding on 30th June 2025.
The inaugural ceremony was held on 23rd June 2025 at 10:00 AM with the lighting of the lamp before the portrait of P. N. Panicker, the father of the library movement in Kerala. The college principal, Rev. Fr. Dr. Shibin P. James, formally inaugurated the function. On this occasion, Mrs. Anjana T., a faculty member of the Department of Malayalam, administered the Reading Day pledge to the gathering.
The valedictory ceremony took place on 30th June 2025 at 10:00 AM in the New General Hall. The program was presided over by Mrs. Sreelatha M., Head of the Department of Malayalam. The college principal, Rev. Fr. Dr. Shibin P. James, once again inaugurated the session. The Reading Day message was delivered by the college CEO, Rev. Fr. Abraham Pathakkal. The keynote address was presented by Mrs. Divya G. S., a teacher at Nilambur B.R.C. and a writer, who inspired the audience with her insightful words on the value of reading. On this occasion, the librarian in charge, Mrs. Bincy, received the books contributed through the Book Challenge initiative.
The weeklong celebration successfully highlighted the importance of reading and inspired students and faculty to nurture the habit of lifelong learning through books.

Kerala Piravi Day and Shreshtha Bhasha Day were celebrated. College Principal Dr. Shibin P. James inaugurated the event.

Kerala Piravi Day was observed. Nilambur Suresh was the chief guest in the program inaugurated by the college vice-principal Father Ajeesh T. Kurien, followed by Kerala arts and various art programs.

World Folklore Day was observed and a related Kalamezhuth workshop was held. The workshop was led by Kerala Folklore Academy Award winner Kadannamanna Sreenivasan.

International Mother Language Day was observed. Principal Raveendran Pillai Sir inaugurated and spoke

International Mother Language Day celebration. College Principal Dr. Geetha Janet White inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp and displaying the logo of the language club.

Young writer Sheefa Sattar was the chief guest at the program inaugurated by the college vice-principal to celebrate Shreshtha Bhasha Day and Kerala Piravi Day

Kerala Piravi Day was celebrated. The program was inaugurated by the College Principal Sri Raveendran Pillai Sir and poet and painter Muneer Agrakami (Amal College teacher) was the chief guest. A folk song was also performed by the Kathir Nadanpattu Sangam.

Kerala Piravi Day was celebrated and poetess, social activist and teacher Mrs. Sruthi P.S inaugurated it and a cultural festival was held with performances by Thanal Nadan Kalasangham.

The closing ceremony of the Reading Day celebration was inaugurated by renowned writer Shihabudeen Poithum Kadavu. The children's handwritten manuscript of the poem was inaugurated

The program was inaugurated by the college principal Dr. Sri Raveendran Pillai to celebrate Kerala Piravi Day and Shreshtha Bhasha Day. The program was inaugurated by Suresh Thiruvalli, a theatre and film actor and folk singer, as the chief guest, followed by a folk song arrangement by the Kanal Nadan Pattu Sangam.
