History

The undergraduate department of history launched its journey in 2014. Like other courses, there is high demand among the students for opting for history as the main subject. There are 40 sanctioned seats for this course. There are 4 full-time faculty to take care of the students. The department is headed by Mrs. Vineetha.PT. It maintains a good academic record in the university examinations. Besides teaching, the department organizes a seminar, quiz competition, and group discussions. So that they can make progress in their life. The department organizes parent-teacher meetings from time to time to apprise the guardians about the progress of students. The department arranges a field visit for the IVth semester students and 3 days of study tours for the IVth semester students. Moreover, the faculty members are always ready to render all possible assistance and guidance to students within and outside campus as and when required. As a result, students achieved high marks in the examination and went for further higher studies.

    Support historical preservation efforts museum studies and archival research to maintain and interpret historical records for future generations.

    Equip students with skills applicable to various fields, including education, public history, law, journalism, diplomacy and public service.
