The Anti-Ragging Cell of Fathima Arts and Science College is a dedicated body established to prevent and eliminate ragging on campus. It ensures a safe and positive environment for students by promoting awareness, enforcing strict policies, and addressing any complaints related to ragging. And it . also prevent and address incidents of ragging, a form of bullying or harassment often involving senior students targeting freshers or juniors. These cells aim to create a safe and secure environment for students, ensuring that their rights are protected, and that any instances of ragging are dealt with promptly and effectively. These cells are established to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students, particularly newcomers.

Aim of the Anti-Ragging Cell

The primary aim of the Anti-Ragging Cell is to create a ragging-free campus where students can pursue their education without fear or intimidation. The cell works towards fostering a culture of respect, discipline, and harmony among students.
The main objectives of the Anti-Ragging Cell include

  • 1. Prevention: To implement measures to prevent ragging by raising awareness among students, faculty, and staff about its negative consequences. To educate the students on the ill-effects of ragging and the consequences, including legal consequences of indulging in ragging.
  • 2. Monitoring: To monitor and track incidents of ragging to ensure that they are dealt with promptly and effectively.
  • 3. Support for Victims: To provide support and counseling for victims of ragging, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • 4. Disciplinary Action: To take appropriate disciplinary actions against those found guilty of ragging, in accordance with institutional rules and legal provisions.
  • 5. Promoting Respect: To foster a culture of respect, inclusivity, and responsibility among students, preventing any form of harassment or bullying.
  • 6. To Collaborate with Authorities: Work in coordination with college administration, faculty, and law enforcement agencies to enforce anti-ragging regulations.
