Anti Narcotic Cell

The Anti Narcotics Cell of the college has been established for curbing drug trafficking and use of illegal substances inside the campus. An effective vigilant committee has been constituted in order to execute the functions of the cell and also to impart an awareness campaign against use of drugs in the campus. The duties of the anti-narcotics cell include organizing awareness programmes in the college with the help of government authorized agencies/ organizations. Educating the students about the ill-effects of drugs and alcohol, encouraging peer policing among students against the use of drugs and reporting of any noticed use of drugs by the students to the students affairs committee are also the duties of the anti-drugs cell.

Aim

The aim of the Anti-Narcotic Cell is to promote a healthy and safe learning environment by preventing and controlling drug abuse among students.

Objectives

  • Prevention of Drug Abuse: Prevent and control drug abuse among students through awareness programs, counselling, and support services.
  • Awareness and Education: Create awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promote education on healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Support and Counselling: Provide support and counselling services to students affected by drug abuse.
  • Campus Environment: Foster a drug-free campus environment through regular patrols, surveillance, and collaboration with local authorities.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with local communities, NGOs, and law enforcement agencies to prevent drug abuse and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
