On May 23rd, the 5th semester BA English students of the batch 2020-23 visited Wayanad as part of an Ecological visit conducted by the department. Forty one students and two faculty members attended the programme. They first visited the Karapuzha Dam, which is one of the biggest earth dams in India. They enjoyed its green serenity and calmness. The next destination was Banasura Sagar Dam. With the magnificent view of Banasura hills in the background, students were asked to imprint their thoughts on paper. The programme aimed to bring out the aesthetic intellectual beauty of the students by providing them with the energy of green nature. Many wrote poems and critical ecological writings, while others poured their thoughts as drawings. The works of students were collected from them. On June 5th, World Environment Day, the students published a magazine, named “Earthling -a walk into the persisting wilderness” which comprised all the works of the students which was born during their ecological visit. Principal Dr.R.Raveendran Pillai officially published the hand written magazine and appreciated the efforts and skills of the students.
