The World Forest Day program titled “Edam 2026” was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Nilambur North Forest Division. The event was organized by the Nature Club of Fathima Arts and Science College in collaboration with the IQAC of Fathima College and the Kerala Forest Department. The program was held on 24th March 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Nilambur Canolly Plot, a site renowned for its rich forest heritage.

The primary objective of the program was to create awareness among students and the public regarding the importance of forest conservation and the need to protect natural resources for future generations. The event emphasized the theme of preserving nature and maintaining ecological balance.

The session featured informative talks delivered by distinguished officials. DFO Danesh Kumar, SFO S. S. Vinod, and BFO Ranjini Krishnan shared valuable insights on forest conservation, biodiversity, and sustainable environmental practices. Their speeches highlighted the crucial role of youth in safeguarding forests and promoting environmental awareness.

The program was effectively coordinated with the support of the Nature Club Coordinator, Sumayya Thasnim, along with Asna M. Their dedicated efforts ensured the smooth execution of the event and encouraged active participation from students.

The program concluded with a message urging everyone to take responsibility for protecting forests and conserving natural resources. Overall, the event proved to be highly informative and inspiring, leaving a positive impact on all participants.
